In just week 3 of a 12 month stint in Uganda in 2003, I first witnessed the horrific impact of conflict on communities and children in particular, when I traveled to the north of the country. After witnessing the phenomenon of night commuters and hearing the stories of formerly abducted child soldiers, my perspective on life changed dramatically - why had I not heard of this before and why did the rest of the world seem to not give a damn? My experiences in Uganda prompted a career change towards human rights issues (especially child rights) - in my own backyard (Oz certainly has its share) and overseas. Now it's time to work in a different pocket of the world - Bangladesh!!

From what I see whether you post a little or a lot it makes for worthwhile reading.
You're doing a great job of providing a window on your world. Something I'm quite fond of myself.
I'm pleased to include you in the newest installment of Surfer's Paradise.
Should you have an opportunity to come for a look at Ohio in the United States I'd like to know what you think.
I hope the link serves you well.
